Frequently asked questions

Is my audio uploaded anywhere?

No. The trimming happens entirely inside your browser, on your device. The file never leaves your phone or computer, and nothing is sent to a server — which also means it works with no connection once the page is open.

Can I pull the sound out of a video?

Yes. Drop an MP4, MOV or WebM and the tool discards the picture, keeping only the audio track. That makes it an audio extractor as much as a trimmer, which is handy for turning a clip into a voice-over or a podcast segment.

Should I export MP3 or WAV?

MP3 for anything you are going to send, publish or use as a ringtone: it is roughly ten times smaller and plays everywhere. WAV when the clip goes back into an editor afterwards, because it keeps the audio lossless and survives repeated re-encoding.

Will the cut sound abrupt?

Cutting straight through a waveform can produce an audible click. The tool applies a very short fade in and out by default to avoid it. You can turn that off if you need the exact raw samples.

Is there a length limit or a watermark?

No watermark, no account, no artificial cap. The only real limit is your device's memory: very long files, roughly beyond an hour, can be slow on an older phone since all the work happens locally.
