Photos then asks how to save: Save Video overwrites the clip in place, while Save Video as New Clip keeps the untrimmed original and creates a separate copy with the cut applied. Worth choosing on any trim you might want to undo later, since Save Video doesn't leave the untouched version sitting around.

It's built in and quick, but it has one real limitation: it only trims the start and the end of a clip.
